I am honoured to be invited back to the Head On Photo Festival in 2020. And although the current social restrictions make it impossible to get everyone into a room or out in a group, Head On 2020 is going online.

Come and join me, Jay Evans, for an Online Astrophotography Workshop. All levels of photographers are welcome, whether you are just starting out in your Nightscape and Astro journey, or are a seasoned night owl, there is something in this workshop for everyone.

Astrophotography has exploded in popularity in the past 10 years, with modern Mirrorless, DSLR and even Mobile phone cameras capable of capturing the incredible detail from the night sky. This presentation takes you through what makes a great Nightscape image, and how to plan, prepare and shoot Astrophotography. We will cover how to locate the Milky Way in the night sky, how to plan for Star Trails, the equipment we have, the compositions to find, the settings to use. At the end of this session you will be armed with the tools you need to get out and capture your own Astro and Nightscape imagery with your camera.
