Bootlegger Bar Menu Project
I recently had the opportunity to photograph to menu imagery for one of my favorite local establishments, and Katoomba eating institution, Bootlegger. This incredible venue has been providing low and slow cooked meat dishes and classic Australian fare for the past 7 years in Katoomba, their menu featuring pulled pork, ribs, steaks, and brisket, along with burgers, fried chicken and signature fries.
There is also an incredible Cocktail menu and when you see the selection of spirits at the back of the bar, you know you’re in for something special from the bar team.
Come and check out Bootlegger Bar in the old Niagara building on Bathurst Street in Katoomba if you are visiting. With their beautiful food, amazing cocktails and drinks menu, warm and toasty ground floor restaurant and bar, upstairs area, and their fantastic rooftop bar, there is something for everyone here. Well worth the visit.

The Baby Doll
The Baby Doll. A beautiful mix of Gin, Limoncello and Aperol, with Grapefruit and Pineapple juice mixed to create a foam, topped with Luxardo cherries. Sweet and Spicy.
Sex on the Beach
Sex on the Beach. This classic cocktail with Vodka, Peach Schnapps, Orange and Cranberry juice. Topped with a garnish of twisted orange peel and luxardo cherries. A perfect summertime refresher.
Cheeky Devil
The Cheeky Devil. Mixed from a Chili infused Tequila with Strawberry Liqueur and Lime Juice, the glass frosted in chili flakes and a garnish of sliced lime. A joy to photograph with its stunning contrasting colour and details.
Purple Heart
Purple Heart. A mix of Vodka and Parfait Amour with Lychee Liquor and Cranberry. Shaken to a foam with a stunning garnish of dried lime. You can’t smell it, but the fragrance from the Parfait Amour really makes this dreamy cocktail.
Texas Bean Nachos
Delicious Texas Bean Nachos, with cheesy sauce, lashings of guacamole, sour cream and chilis.
Op Rib Eye Steak
A huge Rib Eye steak with a juicy amount of marbling, served over as large portion of fries and slaw on the side.
Fried Chicken Burger
Crunchy and crispy, this fried chicken filling a burger bun with salad, and a healthy portion of fires on the side.
Smoked Mac & Cheese
A tantalising side with a smoked mac & cheese with bacon on top.
Loaded Pulled Pork Fries
One of my favorite dishes at Bootlegger, the Loaded Pulled Pork Fries topped with a smoked cheesy sauce. One could say a perfect combination.
