Photographing Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

If you’re coming to Uluru with a camera, this is the tour for you. We focus our time photographing the wonder and romance of the desert landscape. Offering photographers the opportunity to capture the broad vistas of Uluru and Kata Tjuta at sunrise and sunset. We also shoot the majestic rock formations of Uluru up close juxtaposed with the desert landscape on the many walks available around the base or our at Kata Tjuta. And for those looking for the complete Uluru experience, we capture the changing light across the landscape from high above out of the open doors of a helicopter*.

While on location, you will be tutored on the techniques and compositions to help you capture the superlative landmarks, natural landscape, flora and sometimes fauna. And there will be plenty of time to critique some of your images and get some guidance or tutoring on your post processing.

Please Do Not Climb - Wanyu Ulurunya tatintja wiyangku wantima

As Piranpa Tour Guides, we want you to have an enjoyable visit to UKTNP in a safe environment, respecting the natural beauty and cultural significance of the park and taking the opportunity to learn about Anangu, the world’s oldest living culture and Tjukurpa.  For this reason, we are happy to support the closure of the climb from October 26th 2019 and ask that you respect the cultural, environmental and safety reasons why the climb has been closed.

Cultural and Sensitive Sites – miil-miilpa ngura

Throughout our journey around UKTNP, there are a number of cultural and sensitive sites where photography is not permitted.  At any time we are approaching or viewing a sensitive site, we will remind you that there is no photography allowed at that site, and where appropriate help guide you on how to capture your images of Uluru while respecting Anangu culture, law and sensitivities.
