Join Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Jay Evans for a guided photography walk along one of Wentworth Falls’ most iconic trails, the Darwins Walk, following Jamison Creek through lush Blue Mountains World Heritage wilderness.
This immersive morning adventure takes us on a journey following in the footsteps of Charles Darwin, tracing the creekside track past waterfalls, wildflowers, birdlife, and landscapes to capture. We make our way to the famed Weeping Rock, where cascading water spills gracefully over sandstone ledges, before continuing on to the breathtaking Rocket Point Lookout, with sweeping views across the valley and Wentworth Falls.
For the more adventurous, an additional side trip will descend the Grand Staircase to the middle of Wentworth Falls for a dramatic perspective.
Along the way, you’ll explore diverse photographic opportunities. From intimate creek scenes, ferns, wildflowers and birdlife, to dramatic escarpments, waterfalls, and valley vistas. With Jay’s guidance, you’ll learn how to approach both landscape and nature photography in this varied environment, balancing technical skill with creative vision.

🚶 Route: Cassiopeia → Darwins Walk → Weeping Rock → Rocket Point Lookout → optional Grand Staircase descent → return via track
🚗 Parking: Available near Wentworth Falls Station and on surrounding village streets

- Uneven terrain, stairs, and creek crossings
