Join Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Jay Evans for a relaxed community photography meetup beginning at the iconic Govetts Leap, where we’ll photograph first light over the Grose Valley and Bridal Veil Falls before heading to a nearby café for breakfast, coffee and plenty of photography conversation.
This is a casual, social morning designed for photographers of every experience level. Whether you’re new to photography, curious about Sony equipment, planning your next lens purchase, or simply looking to meet like-minded creatives, you’ll enjoy a relaxed morning of photography, learning and inspiration — and you’ll leave with plenty of ideas for where to continue exploring the Blue Mountains long after the meetup finishes.

- This meetup is weather dependent
- Conditions can vary from one morning to the next in the Blue Mountains
- Heavy rain or storm activity may affect the sunrise session
- Partial cloud can still produce dramatic colour and light for photography
- Final weather assessment will occur closer to the event date

🔹 Grade 2 – Moderate
- Short walks on sealed pathways around Govetts Leap
- Some areas may be accessed via National Park stairs that can be slippery and muddy — a good level of mobility and self-awareness is recommended if venturing further
- Easy transition to a nearby café in Blackheath to finish the morning
